before we head to alaska…
So much has happened since my last blog post! I have really fallen behind writing it and owe you all updates…but I need to get better at posting because I’m going to overload you in the next month😁.
What’s Been Happening?
In my last blog, I was headed to Cabo to see the whales migrating. Well guess what? I got Covid the week I was leaving. Grrrr to my husband who brought it home. Luckily, we all came out of it fine.
The Baja PENINSULA
So that brought me to my next adventure: traveling almost the entire Baja peninsula with a long time childhood friend. It was so surreal I still can’t believe I did it. I did my first deep sea fishing trip. Pretty cool. Saw my first BLUE whale- the biggest mammal/animal on earth. INCREDIBLE! Saw a Fin whale. Then, on to our camping on the Baja peninsula to pet gray whales in the ocean. That’s right, I petted them. Again, INCREDIBLE, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
How can I top that?
Well, we adopted a 16 year old Newfoundland to add to our Newfoundland family. Her name is Fiona and she is the sweetest Newfoundland. 16 is pretty incredible for a Newfoundland to live that long. We will have a short time with her. But we are going to make it the best life with lots of love, hugs, petting and the best care we can possibly give her.
We Traveled to Sedona
Then, I visited Sedona Arizona in April. The red rocks are pretty neat. Hiked devils bridge and took an amazing helicopter ride through the red rocks.
Back at Home
Blooms in Bloom has been very busy. Since moving to our new location 2 ½ years ago I have wanted to plant a sunflower field. Guess what? It's finally planted! We have 2 acres of different sunflowers, hopefully sprouting up this summer. Fingers crossed. We are celebrating 23 years in business on June 25th.🍾🥂🍾I am so thankful for my loyal clientele that has followed.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
Stay Tuned…
This is just a dable of what has been going on. We are heading to Alaska next month with the Newfoundlands. I know crazy, right? I can’t even imagine how this trip is going to go. I will be posting on our Meracle Acres Facebook, Instagram and our new Youtube Channel: THE NEWFOUNDLANDS GO TO ALASKA!
Some of our planned adventures: Traveling the Canadian Rockies, driving the Great Alaska highway, flying over glacier national park, watching the great grizzlies on their salmon run feast, taking the Alaska highway ferry, kayaking the Lynn Canal Fjord, hiking the Mendenhall Glacier, whale watching with Jayleen again and whatever else pops up. We are also having visitors while in Alaska. Stay tuned…
Cheers,
Kaycee
